An ex-coursemate of mine went for the Industrial Training (LI - Latihan Industri) in an entertainment industry company..

So they were having some kinda giveaways of Angela Zhang Xiao Han's (is it spelt correctly.?) CD, titled Pandora..

If you hardly know who is Angela Zhang, remember a song with a catchy phrase in the lyrics, "Luan Tiau", where you might mistook it as "Lan Jiao".??

Remember that.?? "Luan Tiau" as in take off your clothes, and "Lan Jiao" as in cock / penis, of course..

Another Jolin Tsai wannabe, following footsteps like Cyndi Wang and many other standalone young female artistes..

All I have to do is send a SMS to a number and wait for the notification if I won the giveaway CD..

Ok..I didn't sent it..It was my youngest sis who sent it, but I'm the one who dealt with my friend about the delivery..

Alright..2 days ago, was the day where my mom's soul return home, here to pay a visit to us..Refer to Memoirs On My Mom's Funeral..

Some ritual was held in the living room and none of us is allowed to walk out of the room, in order not to disturb my mom..

So my dad and I slept in my sisters room and we played gin rummy..Hahaha..

Well..According to the medium, playing gin rummy or mahjong, will not diturb the deads walking around the house and enjoy their meal, as long as we don't step into the living room..

It's actually for my mom and the so-called prison-guards of the underworld, the Ngau Tao Ma Min, which are the notorious Cow Head and Horse Face *WTF~*

Both of these guards are assigned to bring the dead-freshies back to their home for a visit to the family of the dead..

Thus, the offerings are for the deads and both guards for their hardwork bla bla bla..

Like I said in previous entries..Today, 11th of May 2006 is my mom's 52nd birthday..

So we went to the Fatt Wah Temple at Salak South to 'celebrate' her birthday..

Just some pics of the funeral of my mom recently, 28th-30th of April 2006, at the parking lot of my house (refer to Rest In Peace, My Beloved Mom)..

Well, some of you might think I'm freaking crazy, snapping pics of the funeral and stuffs..

But hey, that's my mom..This is the one and only funeral for my mom..I don't think it's bad to take some pics of it for the family album collection..

And of course, for those who didn't came or not being able to come to the funeral and felt sorry for not being here with me, these are the pics for you..

Some did sent their sincere regards to me through those who came..So I think you can look over the pics, out of your curiosity what was happening during the funeral..

Well, I don't know..Try to look for others instead of this 1 here..I doubted their effort in the job..

All of the pics are people-empty and in daylight..The place was fulled with people at night, but I'm too busy to take pics at night, with prayers ritual took place..

Honestly, I do think the fees are over-charged and some stuffs were not done correctly, precisely, and perfectly..

They did some follow-up though, as in providing my family some good information about the underworld, ceremony, and all the follow-ups after the funeral..

Yeah, still lots of things to do even after the funeral..

There's a rule called 7 X 7 = 49 Days or something like that..Meaning there are some procedures, rules and regulations my family need to follow for 49 days, starting from the day my mom died..

The 7 X 7 is actually equals to 7 days a week for 7 weeks..Therefore, 7 X 7 = 49 days..

The first week, which was last Wednesday, 3rd of May 2006, we had to find some nuns to perform a prayers ritual on her, in a meaning to free her from sufferings..

Then yesterday, 9th of May 2006, is the day where her spirit / soul is coming back to our home to pay a visit on us before spending her entire life in the underworld, and waiting for reincarnation..

So the people from the casket funeral service were here to help us..That's what I call a good follow-up, albeit over-charged fees and things done in a dishonest way..

After this, we have to find nuns again to perform prayers ritual on her on the 3rd week, 5th week, and lastly the 7th week..

Once again I would like to express my appreciation to my friends who attended the funeral and especially to Tai Chee Lim for following us to the Cheras Crematorium..

It's a continuation from where I left off in the previous entry, "The Cochranean Gathering-s"..

The 2nd round of our outing at a kingdom in SS2, PJ, after the reunion at Kaki Corner..

Ok..It's nothing much related to any kingdom in the world or even our very own Sky Kingdom..

It's another Hongkie-style restaurant at SS2, PJ, Wong Kok Char Chan Teng (Wong Kok as in Kingdom in Cantonese, and Wong Kok is also the name of a place in HK)..

Ok..This Wong Kok is not 'Kingdom' that Wong Kok..Something like 'Dear' is not the same thing as 'Deer', but has the same pronounciation..

This Wong Kok is something like Famous Corner or something, as in Wong = Famous / Popular (and also king) and Kok = Corner / Horn..

I purposedly put it as 'Kingdom' coz it sounds more uumph than 'Famous Corner'..Haha..

There is another Wong Kok Char Chan Teng at Leisure Mall, Cheras..Just a small one..

The ambience is like any other Hongkie restaurant in town, such as Kim Gary, Causeway Bay, Tsim Tsa Chui, etc etc..

One thing I have to say, I did really felt I'm in Hong Kong..The ambience of it, the meals, and of course the people..

Honestly, I think this Wong Kok Char Chan Teng has its typical Ah-Beng and Ah-Lian staff, as if they were all hired from HK..

They have this kind of weird hairdo, like any Ah-Beng and Ah-Lian you saw at Petaling Street..

For a regular supper..We ordered the followings..

*This is my Hongkie-style Maggi Goreng (Nissin Fried Mee with Spicy Diced Pork or something) with cold Chocolate..This one was quite ok..Very similar to mamak-style Maggi Goreng*

Ok..I didn't mean the drink was made out of her milk..Get it.??

The drink is Lee Ping's creation, Ping Zhan Lai Cha (Ice Shake Milk Tea), as Ping (her name) = ice, Zhan = shake, Lai = milk, Cha = tea..

So you get what I mean..She created this drink out of no where when she was shaking her body shuffling alone at home..

Thus, this drink was born out of sudden, without a dad..WTF~ Hahaha..

Not all dishes were captured with our cams..Just some of it..

So we talked, chatted, laughed, making noises as if we were the Ah-Bengs and Ah Lians instead of the staff..

Cam-whore is all that matters..Wahahaha..

So..It's 5th of May 2006, and it's Friday..The fifth day of the week (if you start counting the week with Monday)..

Isn't it a great day to leave a mark in your history or something.??

Anyway..After long hassle and busy with finals and funeral and stuffs..I'm finally free now..

Finished my last paper today..Don't want to care bout the result now..Enjoy to the fullest for few days..

Ok..Let's talk bout the title of this topic, "The Cochraneans Gathering"..

All the uni and colleges are having semester break now..And it's time for gatherings and outings..

First of all, gathering with the ex-Form 6 students of Cochrane, of my batch, year 2002-2003..

We had the gathering at Taman Billion's Kaki Corner..A famous steak house among KL-Cheras people..

Out of our knowledge, other ex-Cochraneans too, had some kinda gathering at the same venue..

So there we wham-med into each other, my batch of Form 6 year 2002-2003, Form 5 year 2001, and Form 5 year 2003..

Well, not bad that I knew some people in all 3 gatherings..Hahaha..

Actually, the gathering was nothing special..But to meet all, or maybe just some, of the ex-classmates and neighbouring classmates were indeed a nice feeling..

The chemistry bond that we made in just 1-and-a-half-year was so special..The time was not long but all of us are so good friends..

Meeting them in a nice ambience steak house instead of roadside mamak stalls is another thing to take into account..

Sad to say, the gathering was a disappointment..Not much turned up for it..

Mostly from Upper 6 Science 1, and a few from Science 2 and only about 4 of them from Science 3..

I guessed those that didn't turned up is because they feel they are not close to the others..

Some can't make it and I know it..They have things to do..But some giving lame excuses..

Hey, it doesn't matter if you are close or not with the other..All that matter is we get to meet up again after finishing our Form 6, 3 year ago..

The friendship attached and network is all that matters..And that's what Friendster being made of..

Not exactly for you to look for cun chicks or handsome guys (though that are some of the reasons for some people to sign up a Friendster account..WTF~)

Ok..I think that's all about the gathering last night..After the gathering at about 11pm, we went to SS2, PJ's Wong Kok Char Chan Teng (Wong Kok Restaurant)..

Will blog about it some times tomorrow maybe..I have heaps of things to blog after my miserable finals..Hahaha..

Alright..It's all done with the funeral and my mom's new 'home'..

She's now peacefully 'staying' at Kong Yi Tap, Sungei Besi, together her mom (my grandma) and elder sister (my aunt)..

My mom was cremated on Sunday morning, at Cheras Crematorium, Cheras Baru..

We went to collect her bones and ashes yesterday and then brought them to Kong Yi Tap (I don't know what is it called in English)..

With all the hassles and fuss during the 3 days 2 nights funeral, we are all back to normal now..

Once again, I would like to thank all my friends for coming to the funeral on Friday night and Saturday night..

I would like to list down the names of those attended..

On Friday night - Ah Kuai, Pundei, Yeoh, Tew, Jason 9, Brian, Fuzz, Alan Kok, Ji-ann, Yee Tat, Michelle Ng, Chee Hoe, Weng Soon, Diane, Bee Yan, Yew Ming, Sin Yin & boyfriend, Kelvin, Boss, Ivan, Petrol, and Lohman..

Saturday afternoon - Poh Hong, Pay Shuen, Tai Chee Lim..

Saturday night - Kim Yow, Wong, Hiew, Hikaru, Deral, Nick, David Goh, Weng Kong, Flex, and Chuan Soon & Cindy..

Although these are the only names that came for the funeral, quite a number of them send their regards through some of these people..Thanks a lot..

Even some of them that I have had not contacted them for like nearly 2 years, too sent their regards..I really appreciate it..

Though my mom is no longer here, she'll remained in our heart..

I think that's all for now..Will try to continue update again after my finals..

My mom was certified dead on 27th of April 2006, at 4.05pm, in PPUM..

We are having the funeral ceremony at my house, Taman Kobena, Cheras, from 28th - 29th of April 2006..

In case you want to come over to pay a visit..Come over starting from Friday afternoon or evening until Saturday midnight..

The coffin will be going out to the cemetary for cremation on Sunday morning..

Anything..Ask around and call me on my mobile phone..

And of course thanks for the condolences..
